Chatt Foundation prepares warming shelter ahead of weekend’s freezing forecast

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — With winter weather in the forecast, the Chatt Foundation is opening up its warming shelters to those who don’t have anywhere warm to stay.

The organization operates the only cold weather warming shelter in Hamilton County.

Chatt Foundation leaders say the shelter can hold over 350 people.

Ahead of this weekend, CEO Baron King says they have sent out texts, alerting recipients how cold it will be and that the shelter will be open.
