CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — As freezing temperatures move in and uncertainty remains about road conditions and possible power outages, a health expert in Chattanooga is warning that winter storm preparation should include medical essentials.
Dr. Matthew Hitchcock with Hitchcock Family Medicine says people should make sure they have at least 48 to 72 hours’ worth of prescription medications and medical supplies on hand.
“Anytime you’re going to get severe weather like this, it’s always good to have a couple of days’ worth of your medications or medical supplies,” Dr. Hitchcock says.
That includes insulin and baby formula, in case travel becomes difficult…
