HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. — The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) says road conditions across the Tennessee Valley are improving as crews continue responding to a prolonged winter weather event Sunday.
However, TDOT is urging drivers to still stay off the roads if possible, as freezing temperatures could create dangerous conditions overnight and into Monday.
TDOT spokes person Rae-Anne Bradley says crews worked around the clock pre-treating interstates and state routes before the storm arrived, then followed up with extensive salting and plowing once winter weather moved in.
