HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. — Community members spoke before Hamilton County commissioners Wednesday calling for an end to an agreement made between the sheriff’s office and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
That agreement is part of the federal ‘287g program’ which allows ICE to partner with local law enforcement to identify and process people in jail who may be subject to deportation.
