City of Chattanooga launches pilot community resource hub at East Lake Community Center

Chattanooga, TN – The City of Chattanooga’s Department of Community Development is preparing to launch the pilot phase of the East Lake Community Center Resource Hub, a new initiative aimed at expanding coordinated, neighborhood-based services for residents.

City officials announced that the East Lake Community Center will become the city’s first Community Resource Hub, marking what leaders describe as a major investment in strengthening access to essential services at the neighborhood level. The model is designed to serve as a trusted community anchor, bringing together health and wellness resources, education and workforce development opportunities, community services, and recreational programming within a single, welcoming space.

The pilot launch is scheduled for Thursday, February 5, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the East Lake Community Center, located at 3601 Dodds Avenue in Chattanooga.
