SALE CREEK, Tenn. — Flames destroyed an elderly couple’s home in Sale Creek Monday afternoon, according to the Hamilton County Office of Emergency Management (HCOEM).
HCOEM says firefighters responded to a call at 2:00 p.m. about a house fire located on Newman Green Road.
The male homeowner heard his smoke detector activate and he got up to investigate.
