OOLTEWAH, Tenn. — A longtime Ooltewah homeowner says she is watching a subdivision take shape just feet from her property line — and she fears what could happen next.
Our NewsChannel 9 SkyView camera footage shows the edge of Tracie Sutton’s yard and, just beyond it, a steep embankment dropping into a retention pond that will be part of a new development off Ooltewah Georgetown Road known as Shadow Cove.
Sutton says she has lived in her home for 30 years. Now, documents show more than 150 planned lots are being built around her.
She told us she does not oppose development, but she questions how close the project has come to her property.
She also says she won’t let children visit her home for fear of their safety…
