Chattanooga, TN – The Chattanooga Fire Department reported a busy day for Green Shift crews on March 1, 2026, responding to two significant incidents.
At 3:15 PM, firefighters contained a large brush fire behind several residences near 1318 Hixson Pike. Units including Battalion 3, Engine 12, Engine 16, Tanker 16, and Squad 19 prevented the fire from spreading to any structures.
Later, at 8:12 PM, crews responded to a house fire on Abelia Lane off Dayton Boulevard after multiple 911 reports of flames. Engine 22 reported heavy smoke and fire on the front of the home…
