Tennessee among finalists for five-star, in-state wide receiver Kesean Bowman

is among the finalists for a highly ranked prospect who’s one of the Vols’ top in-state targets. Five-star Class of 2027 wide receiver Kesean Bowman, a former Oregon commitment from Brentwood (Tenn.) Academy, announced Monday on his social-media accounts that he has narrowed his focus to five schools, and Tennessee is one of three SEC programs still in the running for him.

Ohio State, Alabama, Miami and Vanderbilt joined the Vols on the short list of contenders for the 6-foot-1, 174-pound Bowman, who’s a five-star prospect in the industry-generated 247Sports Composite. He has received scholarship offers from more than 40 schools, including all five teams he’s still considering.

Bowman once was planning to reveal his college decision on Feb. 10, and Miami and Vanderbilt were widely viewed as the favorites to land him at the time. He briefly pushed back his announcement to Feb. 12 before indicating that he had decided to hold off on picking a school “until further notice.”…
