Catoosa County woman dies after sheriff says father shot daughter at his Rossville home

CATOOSA COUNTY, Ga. — A 75-year-old Catoosa County man has been charged with murder on top of felony charges, after deputies say he shot his daughter inside a Rossville home on Sunday.

Deputies responded to reports of shots fired at a residence on Mack Smith Road, according to a release from Catoosa County Sheriff Gary Sisk.

When those deputies arrived, they made contact outside the home with William Woodall.

Inside the residence, deputies found 53-year-old Carrie Ann Woodall alive but suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the head, Sheriff Sisk said.

A neighbor had arrived before deputies and was rendering aid when officers entered the home…
