Walker County Animal Shelter Launches Puppy Adoption Special

The Walker County Animal Shelter is making it easier for families to adopt a new furry companion with a limited-time puppy adoption special aimed at helping more animals find homes this spring.

Shelter officials announced that adoption fees for puppies under four months old will now be based on the puppy’s age in weeks. For example, a 12-week-old puppy can be adopted for $12, while a 14-week-old puppy would cost $14, with the fee increasing by one dollar for each additional week of age.

The reduced adoption fees still include a full package of services, including spay or neuter surgery, age-appropriate vaccinations and wormer, and a microchip with registration.
