Hamilton County Schools to commit $14M to teacher pay, leaving $2M for other needs

HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. — The Hamilton County School district says they are ready to commit $14 million to teacher pay.

District leaders say they have a little more than $16 million in available funds for the FY 2026-27 budget.

They say that leaves them with about $2 million left over to invest in other priorities.
