Trees cut near Chatt Foundation sparks heat concerns as city plans ADA sidewalk fix

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn — We’re taking questions to the city of Chattanooga after work crews cutdown all of the trees around the Chatt Foundation.

The city tells us the tree removal is part of a project that will make the sidewalk more accessible and compliant with ADA guidelines.

Baron King, President and CEO of the Chatt Foundation, says he had no prior notice about the tree removal.

“One day they came and started cutting down the trees. So I called Public Works to say, ‘hey, why are the trees coming down?'”…
