The Walker County Board of Commissioners and the City of Chickamauga have officially approved a Joint Resolution to honor longtime community leader John Culpepper by naming the Chickamauga Battlefield Connector trail after him.
Culpepper first introduced the vision for the trail back in 2013 while serving as Chickamauga’s City Manager. His early efforts helped lay the foundation for what has now become a key connection between the city and one of the region’s most historic landmarks.
The 2.2-mile trail links downtown Chickamauga directly to the Chickamauga & Chattanooga National Military Park, offering residents and visitors a scenic and meaningful route to explore the area’s rich history…
