Right place, right time: Chattanooga Public Works driver rescues woman from overturned SUV

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn — A Chattanooga city worker is getting recognized after stepping in to help a driver trapped in a crashed vehicle.

Chattanooga Public Works officials say Jermaine Blackstock came across a rollover crash on East 3rd Street the morning of March 18 while driving his route.

Blackstock, a hook and hoist truck driver with City Wide Services, saw an SUV overturned with a woman trapped inside.
