MILLINGTON, TENNESSEE — Petty Officer 2nd Class Carter Coffman has been named the 2025 Sailor of the Year while serving at Naval Supply Systems Command Fleet Logistics Center in Norfolk, Virginia.
The Coshocton native and graduate of Coshocton High School is a logistics specialist and has served in the navy for six years, according to a community announcement. Coffman spent his first five years on the USS Carl Vinson CVN-70 Nuclear Power Nimitz-Class Aircraft Carrier.
“Being selected as Sailor of the Year for 2025 is an incredible honor,” Coffman said in the announcement. “It shows me that the hard work, dedication and commitment I brought to the mission truly matter. I’m proud to set the standard for my peers and to be someone my junior sailors can look to for guidance. This recognition motivates me to keep growing as a leader and continue making a positive impact every day.”…
