Road rage shooting on North King Street leaves 1 man injured

HAMPTON, Va., (WAVY) — One man was injured June 5 in a shooting in the 700 block of North King Street.

Police responded to the reported incident at approximately 5:03 p.m. After arriving in the area, officers found an adult man with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The incident occurred after an apparent road rage incident at North King Street and West Pembroke Avenue. The victim and suspect both pulled over near a construction area located on North King Street. They exchanged words, then the suspect fired several shots into the victim’s vehicle before fleeing the area, according to the Hampton Police Division
