VIRGINIA BEACH (WAVY) — A Circuit Court judge denied a bond appeal Friday for Travis Hunter, charged with second-degree murder in the December death of Brinte’ Walston.
Hunter, 45, shot Walston, 35, in the stairwell of the Sparrows Point apartments, outside Hunter’s apartment. The entire sequence was captured on another resident’s Ring video, and was the focus of a 10 On Your Side special report, Murder or Manslaughter?
While Hunter was out walking his dog about 6:30 a.m. on Dec. 20, a woman Hunter met online had let her boyfriend, Joseph Minton, and his friend Brinte’ Walston, into Hunter’s apartment.
