Virginia Beach Water Bills Rising July 1 — Rate Hits $6.54 Per 1,000 Gallons

Your next water bill is going up — and so are a handful of other city fees you might not think about until you need them.

Starting July 1, the city’s “New Fees/Rates Effective July 1” post details how the FY 2027 budget raises the water usage rate to $6.54 per 1,000 gallons, a $0.31 increase. The monthly water service availability fee — the flat charge tied to your meter size — rises $0.30 to $6.30 per month.

To estimate your own impact, multiply your monthly gallons used by $0.31 per 1,000 gallons, then add $0.30. Sewer fees are not changing.
