JOINT BASE LANGLEY-EUSTIS, Va. – Col. Tracy Allen was relieved of her command of the 633rd Medical Group Tuesday, the base announced.
Col. Stephen Anderson, the 633rd Air Base Wing Commander, relieved her of command “due to loss of confidence in her ability to lead.”
Col. Michael Blowers, deputy command surgeon at Air Combat Command, has assumed responsibility of the unit until a new commander is selected.
According to a fact sheet from Joint Base Langley-Eustis from July 2022, the 633rd Medical Group has 1,400 personnel who deliver outpatient, specialty and emergent care, as well as operate a ambulatory surgical center, while also providing laboratory, radiology and pharmacy services.
