HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Two suspects, including a Hampton man, have been charged with aggravated murder: killing for hire over nine months after a 27-year-old man died when a shooting and crash occurred on Interstate 295 in Hanover County.
In a press release shared in the evening on Wednesday, July 1, Virginia State Police announced the arrests of two suspects.
On April 28, police arrested 32-year-old Zeke Rohde, of Stafford, who was charged with the following:
- Aggravated murder: killing for hire
- Use of a firearm in the commission of a felony
- Conspiracy to commit murder: first-degree
- Shooting at an occupied vehicle
- Shooting from a vehicle
- Unauthorized use of an electronic tracking device
Just over a month later, police arrested 52-year-old Michael Wade, of Hampton, who was charged with the following:
- Aggravated murder: killing for hire
- Use of a firearm in the commission of a felony
- Conspiracy to commit murder: first-degree
- Shooting at an occupied vehicle
- Shooting from a vehicle
- Unauthorized use of an electronic tracking device
- Solicitation of first-degree murder
