Man still hospitalized after I-264 crash in Norfolk

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A man is still in the hospital recovering from injuries suffered a week after trying to help others who were involved in a two-car crash on westbound Interstate 264 at Military Highway in Norfolk just after 11 p.m. Friday, June 26.

James Moody, 25, was driving home on I-264 and stopped to check on the crash when he was struck while walking to the site by another driver trying to avoid the crashed vehicles.

“James is a helpful person,” said his mother, Demetria Edwards. “James always tries to help no matter what the situation. He’s a giving person. He’s a helpful person. That’s how he was raised.”
