On July 20, 2018, San Juan Shy was shot and killed on Bolton Street.

We spoke with Ahmad Shy, the younger brother of the victim. Ahmad told 10 On Your Side, more than anything, San Juan was his best friend.
“My father died when I was 12, and my brother pretty much took over and stepped up,” Ahmad said.
Ahmad described his brother as a man who cared a lot about his family and the people who he was close too. He said they played a lot of Scrabble, and recalled an easy strategy San Juan taught him…
