VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Steven Czarny is a metal detector detective who solves mysteries for frantic beachgoers who have lost small items of great value.
But initially, Czarny, 70, took up metal detecting merely as a hobby.
“I can go out and find a penny or nothing,” Czarny said, describing a typical day. “But how bad of a day have you had? Just being here at the beach is great.”
