PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — You might see more Coast Guard patrols out and about on the water this weekend, as it is keeping close watch on illegal charters ahead of Labor Day.
Coast Guard officers call them dangerous and risky. The vessel could be overloaded, might not be inspected, and could be missing crucial fire and safety gear.
