VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – Malbon Brothers Corner Mart, a staple in Virginia Beach, is closing shop after several decades in business and will be auctioning off everything, including the kitchen sink, later this month.
According to its website, Mike and Mark Malbon opened the “Corner Mart” convenience store in 1995 and decided to put a barbeque restaurant in the store. The brothers grew up on one of the largest hog farms on the East Coast and had been cooking barbeque their entire lives.
