NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Officials with the City of Norfolk are replacing traffic signs after they were vandalized over the weekend.
City officials say a total of four signs will have to be replaced. All four signs are at the intersection of Virginia Beach Boulevard and Military Highway. Officials say they believe the graffiti occurred early Saturday morning.
Due to the age of the signs, officials say the Department of Transportation’s Traffic Operations cannot use the cleaning solution that is typically used because it will cause further damage.
