SMITHFIELD, Va. (WAVY) — The effects of tidal flooding were felt from Chesapeake to Smithfield and points far and wide across Hampton Roads, northeastern North Carolina and the Eastern Shore Wednesday.
Tidal flooding in Norfolk causes road and school closures
In Chesapeake, some of the tidal flooding it experienced started early Wednesday morning.
“I couldn’t even pull into the parking lot, it was so flooded,” said Matt Johnson of Wright Marine Services. “The whole point was underwater — the trailer was pretty much touching the water.”
