NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Crews with the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) have completed work to reopen all lanes of travel on southbound Tidewater Drive near the I-64 overpass, as of Sept. 21.
This means two more lanes are now open as construction continues on theHampton Roads Express Lanes (HREL) Norfolk Segment 1A Project.
The road has had a single lane since Nov. 2024 so that bridge widening and rehabilitation work on the I-64 eastbound and westbound overpasses could be completed…
