PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — The U.S. Coast Guard Sector Virginia is currently searching for a missing person who was reported to be in the water of the Chickahominy River near Vivi’s Mexican Restaurant and Brickyard Landing.
The person was reported to have entered the water just off the Dock at Vivi’s restaurant.
Sector Virginia, USCG Air Station Elizabeth City, and USCG Station Portsmouth are working closely with local first responders from James City County Fire Department, James City County Police Department, City of Hampton, Williamsburg Fire Department, Camp Perry Fire Department, and Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources in the area to help find the missing person…
