CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — Chesapeake Police are searching for a suspect Saturday afternoon in connection with a shooting on Summerall Lane that happened on Sept. 23, according to the Chesapeake Police Department.
Chesapeake police seek 2 after Summerall Lane shooting
On Sept. 23 at around 4:27 p.m., officers responded to a reported shooting in the 1600 block of Summerall Lane.
When officers arrived to the scene, they learned that a dispute happened outside of a housing unit, leading to gunfire that seriously injured a teenage girl. The teenager was then transported to a local hospital for treatment.
At the time, the department was looking for two male suspects who left the scene. A shelter-in-place notification was issued to nearby residents as officers searched for the suspects in the area.
The department is now searching for a suspect who is a younger male between 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall with a thin build. He was wearing a black sweatshirt, black Adidas pants, black shoes and a black face covering…
