VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — More than 1,200 people registered to walk Saturday at Mount Trashmore for the Out of the Darkness Walk, an event dedicated to raising awareness about suicide and mental health.
Participants, including children, parents, siblings, and spouses, came together to support one another and honor lost loved ones, representing a wide spectrum of those affected by suicide, including members of the military and the LGBTQ community.
