VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — John Round III was found not guilty on charges of involuntary manslaughter and assault and battery following a deadly fight at a Virginia Beach bar in March 2025.
The incident occurred at Coastal Cafe after a verbal confrontation turned into a physical brawl. When Virginia Beach Police arrived on scene, they found 51-year-old Jamie Bills unresponsive. He was taken to a local hospital where he later died.
As a result, police arrested Round III and Sridahran Sangaran in connection to this incident. Round was charged with involuntary manslaughter and assault and battery. Sangaran was charged with malicious wounding, attempted malicious wounding and two counts of assault and battery.
