YORK COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) — A Chesapeake man faces charges after a vape shop in York County was damaged by gunfire on September 30.
Deputies were called to the parking lot of a shopping center, in the 2700 block of George Washington Memorial Highway, at 7:30 p.m. for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, deputies learned that two vehicles were involved in the shooting and that at least one bullet had gone through the front glass window of the Super Tobacco and Vape Shop.
Officials say two people were inside the store at the time of the shooting, but no one was injured.
With the assistance of store security video and Flock Automated License Plate Reader technology, deputies identified and later arrested the suspect, 19-year-old Trequan Lavayne Pryor, in connection to this incident. He faces the following charges:
- Possess a stolen firearm – Felony
- Reckless Handling of a Firearm-Felony
- Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony- Felony
