Toinette Outland and Dr. Carrington Faulk have been chosen for the 2024 Association for Career and Technical Education National Leadership Fellowship Program. Outland is a supervisor at NNPS and Faulk is a marketing teacher at Heritage High School. The program’s goal is to train leaders in career and technical education.
Outland started at NNPS in 2010, working on the Heritage High School Engineering & Technology Magnet Program. Her work led to the program being recognized as a Governor’s STEM Academy in 2012. In 2016, she became a CTE instructional supervisor. Since then, NNPS CTE programs have won several awards.
Outland plans to use the fellowship to help other CTE educators. She wants to create more career opportunities for students and prepare them for the workforce. She also plans to use the fellowship resources to improve her leadership skills and provide professional development for CTE administrators and teachers.
Faulk is an educational leader and content producer. He plans to use his creative skills in video production and graphic design to improve education at NNPS through the fellowship.
