Man pronounced dead after two-vehicle crash in Suffolk

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A man was pronounced dead following a two-vehicle crash in Suffolk Monday afternoon.

At approximately 3:05 p.m., Suffolk Police responded to the accident on Route 58 near the Franklin bypass.

Officers discovered a box truck was traveling eastbound when it hit a cushion truck.

The driver of the box truck was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Suffolk Police advises residents it is a law in Virginia to slow down and move over anytime there are flashing lights on the roadway.

This is an ongoing investigation and there are no additional details available at this time.
