CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) – Six people and three dogs have been displaced after a house fire in Chesapeake Friday morning.
According to officials, crews were dispatched to the 800 block of Chris Court just after 9 a.m. for reports of smoke coming from an attached garage.
Crews arrived to the scene and found smoke visible from the exterior of the garage. The fire was considered under control by 9:17 a.m.
The residents were home at the time of the fire, but were able to evacuate before fire crews arrived to the scene. No injuries have been reported.
The cause of the fire was determined to be accidental.
