Hampton firefighters respond to house fire on Winchester Drive, displaces six

HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — Hampton fire crews responded to a house fire on Winchester Drive Sunday afternoon.

A call came in around 3:50 p.m. in reference to a residential structure fire in the 100 block of Winchester Drive.

When units arrived, they found smoke and flames on the front of the home. All occupants were out of the home before their arrival.

The fire was marked under control in approximately 15 minutes.

Three adults and three children were displaced by the fire.

Crews were dispatched to the home again at around 9:30 p.m. due to the fire reigniting.

There were no injuries reported.

The Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the origin and cause of the fire.
