Just this month, the Mid-Atlantic Innocence Project (MAIP) and Baltimore City State’s Attorney announced the release of James (Jimmy) Langhorne, who had been convicted of murder almost 30 years ago, and based on new evidence was proven innocent.
One week ago, a Baltimore City Circuit judge ordered Langhorne’s release from a prison in Hagerstown, Maryland. His family, the staff of MAIP and a rescue dog from the Human Rescue Alliance were there to meet him and welcome his freedom…
