SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Suffolk Fire-Rescue crews worked to put out a fire on Bob Foeller Drive Sunday morning.
First-responders said they got the call around 3:13 a.m. for a possible brush fire in the area of Route 58 and Portsmouth Boulevard at the Downtown exit.
When crews arrived, they located a fire in the 100 block of Bob Foeller Drive on top of the landfill. The fire was not threatening any structures.
SFR said the fire was in a remote area away from water supply. The lack of water supply and the amount of work required to place hose lines into service led the Fire Department to declare a second alarm…
