NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — Police in Newport News are searching for a person of interest after a woman was found dead inside a home earlier in the week.
The Newport News Police Department said officers were called to a home in the 300 block of Heacox Lane on Monday morning for a welfare check. They arrived to find 79-year-old Hendrika Elizabeth Richards dead at the scene.
