Two arrested in connection with illegal firearm purchase in Virginia Beach

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY)– Police in Virginia Beach have arrested two people in connection with an illegal firearm purchase.

On January 31, officers arrested 22-year-old Alexis Guzman and charged him with Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. Following Guzman’s arrest, police continued to investigate how he acquired the firearm.

On May 16, officers executed multiple search warrants and seized two additional firearms, firearm parts and accessories. As a result, police arrested 27-year-old Vincent Elliott and 25-year-old Tyler Woleslagle. Elliott is charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and Conspiracy to Sell a Firearm with an Obliterated Serial number. Woleslagle is charged with Providing a Firearm to a Convicted Felon.
