NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — HII’s Newport News Shipbuilding has furloughed more than 400 employees, according to an official for the shipbuilding division.
In a letter sent to WAVY 10 by a HII spokesperson for Newport News Shipbuilding, 471 salaried shipbuilders were impacted by the furloughs.
