Jojo Siwa surprises Chesapeake boy battling life-threatening leukemia

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — Cayden Addison is battling a rare form of leukemia known as Philadelphia chromosome, which affects only 3% of patients.

He was diagnosed at age 3 and has undergone chemotherapy, a relapse, and even had to take up to 15 medications daily at a point in time. The 8-year-old is now in critical need of a blood stem cell transplant.

“He’s a normal kid,” said Cayden’s mother, Courtney Addison. “If you were to see him, you would never know what he’s gone through. It’s still awful that we have to pump him with chemotherapy every single night just to keep things at bay.”…
