VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — A woman has been indicted for an additional count of child neglect in relation to conduct before the drowning of her 5-month-old son.
Brianna Candelaria, 21, was arrested on Jan. 10 following a death investigation. On July 29, 2024, Virginia Beach police responded to the 800 block of Crossing Court for a five-and-a-half-month-old boy, identified as Valentino Lopez, with a medical emergency. He was taken to a local hospital, where he later died.
