SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Keep Suffolk Beautiful is getting ready to host a recycling drive towards the end of June.
According to a release, the free event will take place at Florence Bowser Elementary School from 8-11 a.m. on Saturday, June 28. During the event, people will be able to responsibly dispose of clutter. Document shredding and food/toiletry donations will also be accepted.
A list of items that will accepted for disposal can be found below:
- Electronics (no tube TV’s or TV’s larger than 42-inches)
- Gently used clothing
- Wares
- Plastic bottles and jugs #1 and #2
- Carboard, paper and magazines
- Plastic bags
- Glass containers
- Oil
- Batteries
- Gasoline
- Cleaners
- Propane tanks
- Paint
- Pesticides
- CFL lightbulbs
- Eyeglasses
- Hearing aids
- Gently used plant pots
- U.S. flags in need of being properly decommissioned
