Chesapeake Police searching for missing woman believed to be in danger

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — The Chesapeake Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing 60-year-old woman.

Police said Tonya Steward-Hopson, 60, was last seen on Monday just before 1 p.m. at Grant Vet Care. Steward-Hopson currently resides in Norfolk.

Steward-Hopson is described as five-foot-four-inches and weighing around 150 pounds. She was last seen wearing blue jean capris, a multi-colored top and sandals with a white sole. Police also said she may be driving a silver Dodge Caravan with Virginia license plates: UAP-6020 and a “cattitude” sticker on the trunk.

Police said Steward-Hudson may be without access to her medication and that her disappearance poses a concern to her well-being due to her mental health condition and need for care and medication…
