VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — The stars aligned for many of our coastal communities this Fourth of July weekend. Other than a little humidity, the weather behaved. Some Oceanfront business owners call it an uncommon stroke of luck. When it comes to doing business at Oceanfront — weather is everything.
“We literally are farmers, there’s no question,” Coastal Edge President D. Nachnani said. “When the weather is good, the crops are good, we can collect. When the weather is bad, we take just as bad of a hit.”
They are working to make sure the crops stay healthy. Just their volunteer group alone picked up about 60 pounds of trash along the beach…
