NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Several kittens will soon be up for adoption after surviving a storm in Norfolk.
According to a Facebook post from Norfolk SPCA Adoption Center & Veterinary Clinics, a Good Samaritan brought in several kittens still attached to the mother by their umbilical cords to the shelter. The person stated the family of cats could be seen being dragged through the mud while trying to escape from an oncoming storm.
After being brought to the shelter, team members and foster families came together to help the cats to survive. Unfortunately, after a few days of care, one of the kittens died. The mother cat and the rest of her kittens, however, continued to heal and grow stronger with each day, according to the shelter.
Just two weeks later, a separate kitten, just two-days-old, was found orphaned on the side of the road. The kitten, named Panther, was eventually introduced to the mother, who then took Panther in as her own…
