Suffolk Police searching for person wanted in connection with shots fired incident on Garfield Ave.

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — The Suffolk Police Department is searching for a person who is wanted in connection with a shots fired incident on Garfield Avenue.

According to officials, on July 24, officers were dispatched to the 800 block of Garfield Avenue for reports of a shooting into an occupied building. Police said 38-year-old Kenneth Lee Fiers is wanted in connection with the incident.

Police said Fiers currently has 17 active warrants for his arrest, including:

  • Dwelling with intent to commit larceny
  • Four counts of discharge of a firearm into an occupied building
  • 10 counts of reckless handling of a firearm
  • Brandishing a firearm
  • Simple assault and battery

Police said no injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
